Safe and easy to use, this two-stage sharpener requires nothing more than a few simple strokes to keep your blades sharp. It can also be used on serrated blades (in which case, simply run the blade over the ceramic section).Soft-touch handle.

2-stage knife sharpening: Place the sharpener on a flat work surface. Hold the sharpener with one hand and the knife with the other. Insert the knife blade fully into the slot at a 90° angle to the sharpener. Apply moderate downward pressure to the blade while pulling the knife toward you in the appropriate groove. Repeat this process, always pulling the blade from the handle toward the tip (never back and forth) through the carbide or ceramic slot. The first-stage carbide (coarse) sharpens the dull edge. The second-stage ceramic (fine) provides a polished, razor-sharp edge. A fairly sharp knife requires only this light sharpening. Always clean the sharpener after use. Clean it with a damp cloth or a soft brush, then wipe it dry. Do not rinse it with water.
