The Wüsthof Standard household honing steel has a 32 cm round steel rod and a synthetic handle. It is made of 2210 tool steel with 1.15% carbon, hardened to 65 HRC, and has a hanging loop.

This 32 cm round honing steel reliably keeps knives sharp in the everyday kitchen. The rod, made of 2210 tool steel with a hardness of 65 HRC and alloyed with 0.6% chromium and 0.03% vanadium, realigns the burred edge of the blade to its original direction in just a few strokes. With an overall length of 46.8 cm and a weight of 413 g, it is stable to hold and does not wobble in the hand. The hanging loop lets you hang it on the wall or a knife rack so that it is always to hand.
