The Opinel Effilé is a slim pocket knife with an African padauk wood handle, a polished Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade (1.5 mm thick) and a Virobloc safety locking ring. Available in sizes No.08, No.10, No.12 and No.15.

In French, the name Effilé refers to a slender, elongated shape: the blade is thinner (1.5 mm instead of the standard 2 mm) and has a more elegant profile, allowing finer, more precise cuts than the traditional Opinel. The polished surface gives a mirror finish and reduces the chance of food sticking.

African padauk is an intensely orange-red to reddish-brown hardwood that develops a deeper, bronze-brown patina over time. Its exotic look and hardness make it a special choice alongside the typical beech or hornbeam handles. The Effilé is a genuinely light, elegant pocket knife, for everyday use and as a gift for food lovers alike.
