Pure badger denotes quality badger hair whose shades, ranging from brownish grey to black, are unique to each brush. It is the entry-level natural grade among badger qualities, but with genuine water-holding and lather-building ability. The hair absorbs water and soap well, works a dense lather onto the face and gives a gentle skin massage that invigorates the skin. Compared with its Black Fibre synthetic sister model (2321H220), it is a natural-hair brush with the same ash base and 21 mm chrome ring.

The brush head is machine-made and finished to the high standards of the Mühle manufactory.

Alongside beech and oak, ash is one of the most important native deciduous trees. It is found throughout Europe, most commonly in more northerly regions. For Mühle's handles, the wood is heated to a very high temperature for a short time. This gives it high water resistance, raises the grain and turns the wood brown. To preserve the natural character of the surface, it is only oiled, not lacquered. This protects the wood perfectly against water and makes it especially durable.
