The white roller knife sharpener from the Tojiro Art Cook series, with ceramic rollers and a polypropylene handle: a compact 25 g sharpening tool for everyday kitchen knives.

A roller sharpener is the easiest kitchen sharpening solution to use: the ceramic rollers hold the blade in a V shape and restore the edge geometry with a single pull-through motion, without having to keep an angle. The ceramic sharpening material of the Tojiro Art Cook version has a finer effect than metal honing tools: it realigns the tiny teeth of a worn edge rather than removing material, which makes it ideal for the regular maintenance of kitchen knives.

The 11 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm, 25 g sharpener fits in the drawer next to the kitchen knives and is always at hand. It is suitable for paring knives, utility knives and smaller santoku and chef's knives alike; the white PP case is easy to clean and suits a white kitchen. The ceramic rollers are long-lasting and do not wear as quickly as steel honing rods.

After use, hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Only Swibo and explicitly dishwasher-safe models may go in the dishwasher. Store in a wooden block or on a magnetic strip; keep blades from touching each other.

Maintain the edge with a whetstone or honing steel; professional sharpening once a year is recommended. Do not cut frozen food, bone, or on hard ceramic surfaces.
