The Opinel No.08 Animalia is a pocket knife with a Sandvik 12C27-MOD stainless steel blade and an oak handle with an engraved animal motif: 8.5 cm blade, 45 g. Available with several motifs: wild boar, deer, hare, fish, dog, chamois, moose, bear, bison or marmot.
On the Opinel No.08 Animalia, an animal silhouette is engraved on the side of the oak handle, a symbol of a love of nature. The 8.5 cm Sandvik 12C27-MOD stainless steel blade is easy to sharpen, the knife weighs just 45 g, and the Virobloc lock holds the blade in both the open and closed positions. Care & sharpening
After use, hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Only Swibo and explicitly dishwasher-safe models may go in the dishwasher. Store in a wooden block or on a magnetic strip; keep blades from touching each other.
Maintain the edge with a whetstone or honing steel; professional sharpening once a year is recommended. Do not cut frozen food, bone, or on hard ceramic surfaces.
