This elegant porcelain soap bowl with a hand-painted platinum rim provides the relaxation you need. Made in Germany, this accessory is not only beautiful to look at but, of course, practical too: a small raised area on the base keeps the shaving soap dry after use. Porcelain making dates back to ancient China; in Europe, "white gold" was first produced in 1708. It is an elegant, delicate material that must be worked with great care, from making the blank moulds to the finished individual piece. Every piece is shaped, glazed and fired by hand.

After use, hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Only Swibo and explicitly dishwasher-safe models may go in the dishwasher. Store in a wooden block or on a magnetic strip; keep blades from touching each other.

Maintain the edge with a whetstone or honing steel; professional sharpening once a year is recommended. Do not cut frozen food, bone, or on hard ceramic surfaces.
