Tojiro Trism Ceramic household knife sharpener with ceramic rollers and a polypropylene and TPE body, 17.5 cm long, 100 g.

The main purpose of the Trism Ceramic sharpener is not resharpening but the regular maintenance of an existing cutting edge: the ceramic rollers gently realign a slightly worn edge without removing significant material from the blade. With 3–4 strokes a day, kitchen knives can be kept sharp and need the whetstone less often.

The compact 100 g body consists of a polypropylene frame and TPE inserts; its non-slip surface keeps the device stable on the worktop, even when operated with one hand. It is one of Tojiro Japan's most popular household edge maintenance tools.

After use, hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Only Swibo and explicitly dishwasher-safe models may go in the dishwasher. Store in a wooden block or on a magnetic strip; keep blades from touching each other.

Maintain the edge with a whetstone or honing steel; professional sharpening once a year is recommended. Do not cut frozen food, bone, or on hard ceramic surfaces.
