The closed comb safety razor differs fundamentally from the Fusion and Mach3 cartridge versions: it uses a replaceable single double-edge blade, making it a more sustainable and, in the long run, more economical solution. The closed comb head protects the skin, stretches it more evenly and gives a more predictable, gentler cut, so within the safety razor category it is recommended for beginners and users with sensitive skin. This set does not include a bowl.

First, the basic shapes of the brush and razor handles are turned from solid rods. Each piece is then polished in several stages to give the surface its special lustre. The reverse-curved base in high-gloss chrome recalls traditional shaving culture while ensuring a secure fit in the specially developed stand with a plastic insert. Mühle makes this newly interpreted classic in high-grade resin and plum wood.
